A Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) is a community in which everyone works together to develop a sustainable energy system. To do so, they aim as far as possible to be energy efficient, to use renewable energy where feasible and to develop decentralised energy supplies.

The webinar will explain how Meath County Council partner with the SEAI and communities to ensure that communities’ current and future energy needs in terms of electricity, heat and transport consumption are met.

The Sustainable Energy Communities initiative run through the SEAI is an excellent starting place for communities to collectively become energy efficient.

The SEAI offer very generous grant aid to aid communities who wish to transition to a more sustainable energy system, and mentors are available to help with the process.

The webinar will take place from 7-8pm on Thursday 24th February 2021.
