KELLS MUSICAL AND DRAMATIC SOCIETY’76 – WE ARE HAVING A ‘GOLDEN BALL’ TO CELEBRATE 50 YEARS IN SHOW BUSINESS!!!  On Saturday 31st October 2026

Having glanced at the above headline, it’s hard to believe that it’s 50 years since the Kells Musical and Dramatic society was formed and staged our first show ‘The last, last show‘ all those years ago.   Since 1976 the society has grown in members and at present there are over 190 actively involved. We stage an annual pantomime; Musicals, show stoppers shows, one act and three act plays and Pageants. But it is of course for our spectacular entertaining pantomimes that we are renowned.

I now take this opportunity to invite all past and present members and friends to join us in celebrating this very special occasion.

Our goal is to invite everyone who was involved in any of the panto’s and shows to this once in a life time reunion, where you can meet and chat to old acquaintances and friends that you may not have seen or heard from in years.

Our Golden anniversary ball is set for Saturday 31st October in the Headfort Arms Hotel, Kells at 7.30pm sharp.   Tickets are €60 and black tie is optional.

We begin with a celebration dinner, a cabaret, dancing to live band and to finish the evening off [in the wee early hours] with a fab disco.

We will have a photo exhibition on the night along with a dvd full of members memories and chat.

If anyone has any old photo’s for the exhibition please put your name on the back of them and send them to John Grant and he will make sure you get them back.

As well as the dinner and cabaret and dvd and photo exhibition we will a fun photo booth, a drinks reception and everyone will have their photo taken on arrival.

We are anticipating that it will be an unforgettable night of reminiscing and we hope to have a couple of surprises in store!
