The aim of the Spark Change Challenge Awards is the celebration of people and groups working across Ireland who are working towards making their communities socially, environmentally and economically sustainable.

FASN are endeavoring to play its part in that regard. Today, the Network is led by volunteers in line with what is currently considered Best Practice. FASN support families affected by substance misuse and strongly believe that no one should have to live with the isolation and stigma that drug misuse can bring.

Jackie McKenna, Project Coordinator said ”I’m delighted that FASN has been shortlisted in the Spark Change Awards.  This achievement is an endorsement of the ‘whole of our organisation’ from our community volunteers to the family members who avail of our services; our approach to sustainability, as reflected in our continuous overall approach, is ‘to place sustainability at the core of our community- by supporting and helping families help themselves.

“Providing support to family members of those experiencing addiction is our particular goal and focus.  Our ability to make a difference to family members’ lives across our communities in the North East is a huge source of pride in our organisation”.
