A one-day seminar, Embracing Diversity – A Future Together, will take place in Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo on Friday 18th October 2019.
The seminar will examine and chart what has been achieved in the area of Intercultural Integration in a small town and develop recommendations for mapping an integrated future for the town and towns of similar composition.
Contributors will include academic experts and experienced practitioners and will feature strong local community participation.
Speakers include Anastasia Crickley, Seán Óg Ó hAilpín, Dr Veronica Cassidy, Dr Tony Barrett, Dr Orla McGarry and more
The seminar takes place at the end of National Social Inclusion Awareness Week (14-20 October 2019). In attendance will be community and voluntary organisations, immigration support agencies, LCDC members and chairs, local development and community development bodies, government departments, local authorities and others.
