Ballivor Wind Farm: Bord na Móna – update

Project: Ballivor Wind Farm – Significant Additional Information

The purpose of this email is to provide you with an update on the proposed Ballivor Wind Farm. As you may be aware, on the 31st March 2023, Bord na Móna Powergen Ltd submitted a planning application to An Bord Pleanála for the proposed project. In response to submissions received in respect of this planning application, Bord na Móna Powergen Ltd. provided Additional Information to An Bord Pleanála. An Bord Pleanála has deemed this to be significant additional information.  

This significant additional information, together with the original planning application documentation, Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and Natura Impact Statement (NIS), may be inspected free of charge or purchased on payment of a specified fee (which shall not exceed the reasonable cost of making such a copy) during public opening hours for a period of 3 weeks commencing on the 22nd January 2024 at the following locations:

  • The Offices of An Bord Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1, D01 V902 (9:15am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday)
  • The Offices of Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath, C15 Y291 (9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday)
  • The Offices of Westmeath County Council, Aras An Chontae, Mount St, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. (9:30am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday).

The documentation may also be viewed/downloaded on the following website: www.ballivorwindfarmplanning.ie.

The attached letter is currently being distributed to properties in the vicinity of the proposed development.
