Safeguarding 1 Basic Awareness in Child Protection Workshop
19th January OR 1st February | 6.30pm-9.30pm | Zoom
This workshop will highlight the measures that clubs can take to create and maintain the safest possible environment for sport for young people. This course is essential for anyone who is in contact with children in their club.

Safeguarding 2 Club Children’s Officer Workshop
23rd February | 6.30pm-9.30pm | Zoom (ONLINE)
Every club involved with children and young people should appoint a Club Children’s Officer. They act as the link between the children and the adults in the club. It is essential that those who wish to attend have completed Safeguarding 1 Basic Awareness Training.

Safeguarding 3 Designated Liaison Person (DLP) Workshop
9th March | 6.30pm-9.30pm | Zoom (ONLINE)
Every club/organisation should designate a person to be responsible for dealing with any concerns about the protection of children. The Designated Liaison Person is responsible for reporting allegations or suspicions of child abuse to TUSLA Child and Family Agency and/or An Garda Siochána. It is recommended that this person is a senior club person.
It is essential that those who wish to attend the Safeguarding 3 Designated Liaison Person (DLP) Training have attended the Safeguarding 1 Child Welfare & Protection Workshop.

Sports Injuries First Aid Workshop
20th February | 6.30pm-10pm | Claremont Stadium, Navan
This Sports Injuries First Aid Course is aimed at coaches, mentors, teachers, supervisors, players, athletes and volunteers or anyone wishing to be able to deal with minor sports injuries.
This course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare participants to administer First Aid care. Participants will learn practical skills so that they can deal competently with situations that may arise. On successful completion of the course, participants are issued with a First Aid Certificate of attendance.

Sports Inclusion and Disability Awareness Workshop
Meath LSP in conjunction with Cavan Sports Partnership are delighted to announce we will be hosting a Sports Inclusion and Disability Awareness Webinar. This FREE webinar will be delivered online and is aimed at people who are interested in taking the first step in making their activities inclusive.

Mums on the Move
Mums on the Move is a new ‘come & try’ programme scheduled just after school drop off time and is an ideal way for parents to incorporate exercise as part of their daily routine. Each programme contains a mixture of circuits and pilate! This allows all participants to include cardio, strength, flexibility and balance as part of their overall programme workout. Active Women Circuits “Keep Fit/Tone Up”
These 6-week circuits incorporate cardio, strength, flexibility and balance and is suitable for women of all ages and fitness levels, especially complete beginners!

Meet n Train
New Meet n’ Train programmes starting in Navan and Ashbourne in January! The 6-week programme is suitable for complete beginners and an ideal way to incorporate exercise into your day.
Each session includes a variety of exercises suitable for men and women of all ages and incorporates acrdio, strength, core and flexibility. Cost is €20 for 6 weeks.

Online Yoga for Women
Exercise is one of the best things you can do for your body. It helps control weight, improves mood and energy levels, boosts collagen production as well as preventing many diseases by improving circulation and muscle strength.
Yoga for women is suitable for all ages and abilities, especially women 40+ as it helps to manage some of the physical changes that we experience during midlife. Our online yoga programme incorporates an inclusive range of yoga movements to help strengthen muscles, improve posture & flexibility and manage the stress that we may be experiencing on a daily basis.
Cost is €20 for 6 week online class and includes a recording of each class.

Social-ball (Social Basketball for Women)
This 6-week Socia-Ball programme is kicking off once again in Ashbourne Community School on Wednesday 25th January @ 7pm.
This is a great opportunity to learn key basketball skills in a fun social setting with no pressure to compete. Suitable for all women 18+, from complete beginners to improvers. Cost is €20 for 6 weeks.

Youth Basketball
This 6-week programme is specifically aimed towards young people from 10-16 years with the main emphasis on participation, fun and fitness. In a fun, social setting, participants will have the opportunity to learn the key basketball skills and play in a supportive environment without the pressure of competition.
Aimed towards complete beginners and those with previous experience. This programme is delivered by qualified basketball coaches. Cost is €20 for 6 weeks.

Mature Movers
The 6 week programme for adults (50+) includes activities such as seated exercise to music, resistance exercises with resistance bands, core stability, balance, seated Pilates and fall prevention exercises. Mature Movers is ideally suited to older adults as it provides for enjoyable social interaction, fun and activities.

Run Jump Throw Programme
The Run Jump Throw programme ran over 6 weeks is aimed at children with Autism / Intellectual disability aged 5-12 years. The sessions will include a variety of sports, fun games and obstacle challenges all adapted to the participants needs. The programme aims to improve the participant’s fundamental movement skills and increase their confidence in participating in regular physical activity. The involvement of siblings is encouraged during the programme.
