World Ocean Day Event: Bettystown Beach – 11th June 2-5pm

Bettystown Tidy Towns are hosting an event on Bettystown beach on Saturday June 11th,  2pm to 5pm,  to mark World Ocean Day.
Meath Local Sports Partnership will be located at the beach volleyball nets with volleyball coaches. Come down and try it out.
With the introduction of the Deposit Return Scheme, DRS, why not have a look at a DRS machine, you won’t miss their truck!
Or discover more about marine life in the Life Under Water tent.
Ever wonder what it is like to save a life at sea? You can meet some of the brave crew from Boyne Fishermans Rescue and Recovery who will be there with one of their boats.
Or if you prefer to stay on dry land but want some fast sport, speak to Alan from IPKSA, Irish Powerkite and Sandyacht Association.
You can meet representatives from Seal Rescue Ireland, the Council’s Environment Department, Sonairte, LA Waters & Communities and An Taisce The National Trust for Ireland and find out more about the work they do.
