Launch of National Resource: ‘Supporting Parents & Families impacted by alcohol and other drugs’ – 15th March 2022 10am
The NE-RDATF & our colleagues in the Irish Community Action on Alcohol Network would like to invite you all to join us for the launch of our new national resource ‘Supporting Parents & Families impacted by alcohol and other drugs‘ which takes place on Zoom at 10am on Tuesday March 15th.
This new resource outlines the importance of alcohol & other drug family support, details a range of the specialist family support programmes available across Ireland and includes information on each Task Force, promoting their role in providing information to families and agencies working with families regarding what is available at the local level. On the day ICAAN will also launch our new animation series ‘5 family stories of hope and recovery’, based on testimonials from families who have benefited from family support.
We have an exciting line up of speakers who you will hear from on the day, each bringing a different perspective on the harm caused to families by alcohol and other drug use and the importance of family support in addressing the harm.
Speakers include:
- Siobhan Maher, ICAAN & family support specialist with North Dublin Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force
- Dr Carol Coulter, CEO of the Child Law Reporting Project
- Dr Aisling Sheehan, Lead, HSE Alcohol Programme
- Ciara Pidgeon, Principal officer, lead Parenting Support Policy, Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth
