Age Friendly Meath : New Strategy – Have Your Say
The Age Friendly Programme operated by Meath County Council is about older persons and ensuring their communities are better places to grow old in.
We are in the process of developing a new Age Friendly Meath strategy (2022-2026).
The Programme focuses on 8 main areas:
• Outdoor Spaces & Buildings;
• Transport;
• Housing;
• Respect & Social Inclusion;
• Social Participation;
• Communication & Information;
• Civic Participation & Employment;
• Community Support & Health Service
As part of the process of developing the new strategy, we would like to hear directly from older persons aged 55 years and older in Co. Meath.
Online discussion event: 5th October 2021 at 11am-1pm
We are inviting older persons to participate in an online workshop discussion on 5th October 2021.
Anyone who participates on the day will have an opportunity to share their views within a small group on some or all of the areas listed above. In order to plan for the workshop, we would invite people to register in advance if they wish to attend.

Survey
As part of the process of developing the new strategy, we are running a survey to hear the views of older persons living in Co. Meath.
Anyone aged 55 years or older are invited to complete a survey questionnaire.
