Welcome to the July edition of our bi-monthly e-zine, containing all the exciting news and opportunities from An Cosán! As we recently held our annual AGM, it gave us a wonderful moment to look back at the year past, and to see that despite the challenges and hardships of the Covid-19 pandemic we continue to improve the lives of those we work with and journey together on the path to a brighter future.

An Cosán continues to grow in service of our mission of ensuring that no one is left behind. Over the past few months, I have been delighted to welcome three new members to our Senior Management Team. We are joined by Adelaide Nic Chárthaigh (Adult Community Education Manager), Bronagh Moore (Corporate Services Manager) and Carole Byrne (Finance Manager), who bring a depth of skill and passion to drive our work forward.

In these times, leadership is vital and together as an organisation we will continue to lead in the delivery of vital community education and early years services.

Recently, we have been advocating through a range of national platforms for policy and practice to end the digital divide and bring about true digital inclusion. As we near a new academic year, it is important to deliver on providing all the learners in our communities with the supports and tools they need to succeed in education.

Yours in solidarity,
Heydi Foster
CEO, An Cosán
