Social Justice Ireland has advocated for the introduction of a Basic Income for decades. We welcomed both the inclusion of a Basic Income pilot in the Programme for Government and the recommendation of the Arts and Culture Recovery Taskforce to provide a Basic Income to artists to support them through the pandemic.
