The National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) are holding a Family Learning Conference on the 28th November 2019.

The event will take place in the Aisling Hotel Dublin  on Thursday, November 28 2019 at 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

This event will look at creative approaches to family learning.

Guest speaker topics include:

• Engaging with your child and building vocabulary through dialogic story reading
• Big ideas in literacy, critical literacy and oral literacy
• ArgiKids: Engage, educate and empower

There are also free workshops you can attend including:

• Empowering parents and children in their reading lives
• Setting-up and running a ‘Fighting Words’ workshop
• The museum of made-up stuff
• Family literacy: Bringing the guidelines home
• Creating positive connections between parents and children
• Creating meaningful partnerships with parents to help initiate change
• Helping parents understand Aistear
