Pakman Award -Showcase your Environmental Achievements
The Pakman Awards were launched in 2015 by Repak to replace the Repak Recycling Awards and allow more accessibility to the awards for all organisations who demonstrate their sustainability and environmental efforts. The Pakman Awards are national awards that recognise excellence in waste management and recycling among businesses, organisations, community groups and initiatives in Ireland.
The Pakman Award – Community Recycling Initiative of the Year category.
This award is open to community groups, initiatives or those in a partnership with their Local Authority such as Bring Bank sites, who are involved in community recycling projects. Applicants need to demonstrate how they have raised awareness in their communities via ventures such as composting, re-use, recycling, waste minimisation, educational talks and other recycling projects. If you feel your recycling project has enriched your community and is a contender for this prestigious award – please submit an application.
Please include the following details in your application:
- A short summary of the community group
- Description of the recycling project
- How the environmental related project was implemented
- Effects of recycling project on your community
- Marketing and Communications to promote the initiative
All entrants must submit online a document of no more than 4 x A4 pages, so please ensure you use this space as creatively as possible. Please address the key criteria set out for the category you are entering and lay out the information, text plans, section drawings, tables, graphics etc. Please make this as clear as possible to understand.
Entry to the Pakman Awards is free, and nominations will close at midnight on 31st August 2019.
