Quality Label Workshop, Athlone 13th August
European Solidarity Corps Quality Label Workshop, 13 August 2019, 10am – 3pm
Youth Work Ireland Midlands, Golden Island, Athlone.
The European Solidarity Corps is the new European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people aged 18 -30 to volunteer, engage in a traineeship or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe.
European Solidarity Corps participants embrace the values of solidarity, respect for human dignity and human rights, and believe in the promotion of a fair and equal society in which pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity and equality prevail.
To start this process and to engage with the programme, all organisations must be awarded a Quality Label for the European Solidarity Corps.
Funding can then be applied for by organisations that hold the ethos of solidarity, respect and equality and that can support young people aged 18-30 to volunteer or to engage in a traineeship or to take a job in organisations that connect with the mission and principles of the programme.
This workshop will give more information on possibilities within the European Solidarity Corps programme, the strands and funding available, what is expected in order to gain a Quality Label, how to apply and complete the application form.
To register your interest to attend on 13 August at Youth Work Ireland Midlands, Golden Island, Athlone please follow the Eventbrite link and complete the registration by 9th August.
