Pride of Place Awards Now Open for Applications

Meath County Council Pride of Place 2018

Meath County Council 2018 Pride of Place competition is now open. Applications are invited from Community Groups, Tidy Towns / Village Committees, Residents Associations and other organisations. In 2018 the competition includes the following categories:

  • Housing Estate Small
  • Housing Estate Medium
  • Housing Estate Large
  • Residential Streetscape (new category)
  • Best Presented Front Garden (new category)
  • Village/ Townland >500 (new category)
  • Small Town 500 – 2000
  • Large Town > 2000
  • Youth Project
  • Watercourse Amenity
  • Grow Your Own
  • Heritage
  • Nature/Wildlife
  • Best New Group
  • Vacant Premises
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Shop Front
  • Hospitality/ Tourism

Application forms and further details are available below, or from the Community Department, Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath, C15 Y291, or by emailing prideofplace@meathcoco.ie.

Closing date for applications is Friday 1st June 2018

An information and networking event will take place at 10a.m. on Saturday 12th May 2018 in Buvinda House, Navan, Co. Meath. The event will include speakers on a number of topics including bio diversity, climate change to name a few and the Pride of Place scheme. Pre registration for this free event is essential; please email prideofplace@meathcoco.ie by 5pm on Wednesday 2nd May to register.
