Meath PPN held its first county Plenary meeting on Monday 30th May 2016, in the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim.  The evening was a great success with other 90 people attending, representing the various Environmental, Social Inclusion and Community/Voluntary groups registered on the PPN.  The meeting was addressed by the Chief Executive of Meath County Council, Jackie Maguire, and an informative presentation on the national PPN picture was given by Sara Bourke from Social Justice Ireland.  Keith Mulvey, Secretariat representative for Kells Municipal District, explained the work and progress of the Meath PPN since its formation at the end of 2014.

The groups were then given a chance to discuss issues affecting their groups or local areas, and ways in which the PPN can work towards solutions.  The most prevalent issues will form the PPN’s workplan for the coming year, and the Secretariat will communicate this to all groups once the information has been collated.  Thank you to all who attended and made this meeting so successful.
