Rural Schools and Youth Clubs Invited to Join Dream Space Showcase 2026/27 

Registration is now open for Dream Space Showcase 2026/27, a free national STEM programme that empowers young people to become creators, innovators and problem-solvers through hands-on projects in science, technology, engineering and maths.

Meath County Council is delighted to support the programme for a fourth year, building on the fantastic projects and creative ideas showcased by schools across the county.

No coding experience, specialist equipment or STEM background is required. Participants will receive access to learning resources, live workshops, project support and opportunities to showcase their work locally, regionally and nationally.

The Dream Space Showcase is a free, year-long STEM learning journey for rural primary schools and clubs across Ireland.

From autumn 2026, young people build STEM, maker and coding skills through flexible, curriculum-aligned Dream Space TV lessons before using their learning to develop a project responding to a real-world challenge.

No previous STEM or coding experience is needed and no specific technology is required. Dream Space, local authorities and collaborating organisations provide resources and support throughout the journey to help schools and clubs get started, develop their projects and stay on track.

What you can expect:

• Two live Launch Information Sessions to help you understand the full journey and get started.
• Dream Space TV lessons aligned with the redeveloped Primary School Curriculum and new Primary STEM Education Specification.
• Practical facilitator training and support, including FAQs, project check-ins and opportunities to ask for help when you need it.
• Live virtual coding workshops and a Project Kick-Off to help pupils move from Dream Space TV into developing their own projects.
• Opportunities to share progress, see examples and learn from other participating schools and clubs throughout the year.
• An optional national Showcase celebration at Microsoft Ireland, where pupils can share their work, meet other participants and celebrate what they have achieved.

The National Dream Space Showcase 2027
The in-person Dream Space Showcase will run at One Microsoft Place, Dublin from Monday 31 May to Friday 4 June 2027. Schools and clubs choosing to attend the national Showcase can attend one of the five Showcase days. Attendance is optional, and schools and clubs can take part in and benefit from the full learning journey even if travelling to Dublin is not possible.

For groups wishing to attend, your specific Showcase day will be confirmed later in the year. We will take geography, travel considerations and participant numbers into account when allocating groups across the five days.

In some areas, local or regional Showcase opportunities may also be available. Schools and clubs can take part in the learning journey and choose to attend a local Showcase, the national Showcase in Dublin, or both, depending on what is available in their area.

Both sessions will cover the same information, so you only need to attend one. A recording will also be available.
