E-Male Matters: Newsletter – Autumn 2025

Autumn 2025 edition of ‘E-Male Matters’ – the newsletter of the Men’s Health Forum in Ireland (MHFI): As always, you can access this publication (and earlier editions) on our website at: https://mhfi.org/newsletters/about-e-male-matters.html
Can I please draw your attention to three specific items in this newsletter …
- To mark International Men’s Day 2025, free copies of the ‘Action Man – ten top tips for men’s health’ Man Manual are, once again, being made available to anyone who would like copies for their workplace, community group, church congregation, sports club, Men’s Shed etc.
- You are invited to attend an event in Stormont titled ‘The Invisible Man: Men’s Health – look at the state of it’ (on Monday 10th November 2025) which will explore some of the main areas of concern in the men’s health field, examine how other countries are addressing men’s health issues, and highlight the need for a dedicated strategy / action plan to improve this situation in Northern Ireland.
- Compared to other occupational groups, construction workers are considered particularly vulnerable to mental ill-health and suicide. CAIRDE is an evidence-based Irish initiative which seeks to reduce suicide stigma, enhance knowledge around suicide, and encourage help-seeking and help-offering in the construction industry. You are invited to attend a free event to hear more about what CAIRDE is, how it was developed, and what is being offered to construction companies / sites. This will take place on Wednesday 26th November 2025, from 3.00pm – 4.30pm, in Dublin.
More detail on all three of these can be found in the attached newsletter.
All the best,
Coli
