Meath Partnership are holding an upcoming webinar ‘Raising Digital Natives’ with Caitriona Carey from CyberSafeKids and Ana Mirkovic from the Digital Communication Institute.
The Raising Digital Natives webinar brings experts from Ireland and Croatia to provide parents with not only an awareness of the digital world, but concrete actions that parents can take to safeguard their children in the digital world.
It is relevant for parents and caregivers of children under 15, and anyone working with families or young people.

Guest Speakers:
Ana Mirkovic – CEO & Co-Founder Digital Communication Institute
Ana is a consultant for digital transformation and digital marketing projects at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Save the Children organization, and for many years she has been an UNICEF Serbia advisor on projects related to digital violence. She is a lecturer in the modules Introduction to Digital Marketing and Strategy and Planning. Ana has a master’s degree in psychology and she is currently a PhD candidate of Strategic management at the European Center for Peace and Development.
Caitriona Carey – CyberSafeKids
Caitriona has worked as a primary school teacher for the past fifteen years and has also taught English as an Additional Language to adults. Prior to her teaching career, Caitriona completed a BA in English Literature in UCD and a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing in DIT. Having worked with children from a range of socio-economic backgrounds, Caitriona has a special interest in the area of wellbeing in educational settings and is passionate about the importance of using technology for learning in a safe and informed way.
Digital Upbringing supports parents and educators to help their children to develop the digital skills needed to safely navigate the digital world. The programme aims to answer the following question: What should a parent or guardian be able to do in order to navigate their children’s way in the digital world, safeguard them and promote their opportunities?
