2021 Text Alert Rebate Scheme has now opened for applications from Meath
The Department of Justice has renewed the Text Alert Rebate Scheme for a further year with an investment of €150,000.
Muintir na Tíre will administer this scheme on behalf of all eligible Text Alert Groups. Under the scheme, eligible groups will receive a rebate of up to €350 towards their operating costs.
To be eligible, groups must:
- Be an active Community Text Alert group. Activity may be demonstrated by sending messages, holding meetings, etc.
- Have registered with An Garda Síochána using form TA1, before 31 December 2021. (this would normally have been submitted at the time you registered with the Gardai locally – you do not need to supply a copy of this form with the application)
- Comply with the agreed Text Alert guidelines.
Eligible costs include the following costs for the previous period:
– Costs of issuing texts.
– Cost of insurance (to a maximum value of the standard Community Alert policy).
– Affiliation fees.
Groups should submit an application to Muintir na Tíre (rebates@muintir.ie – please do not use any other email address) before 30 November 2022.
Please find a link to an application form below and enclose evidence of eligible costs. This can take the form of an invoice dated anytime within 2021 (1 January 2021 to 31 December 2021). Any final determination on what constitutes an eligible cost will be made by Muintir na Tíre Head Office
