Meath PPN Secretariat: Extension of Nomination Deadline

Following a number of conversations and emails from groups, that a lot of focus this week has been on back to school issues and a large number of groups have not yet met since before the summer break, it has been decided to extend the deadline for receipt of nominations by 2 weeks. This will allow groups the time to discuss the nominations, get the signatures required and return the forms.

Meath PPN is flexible and responsive to feedback it receives. The Secretariat is an important function of any PPN and it is vital that the process is accessible and and representative of MDs and Pillars. Listening to that feedback and allowing for an extension means we can achieve both those thins.

With that in mind, the new deadline for receipt of nominations is Sunday 18th September (or Friday 16th if returning by post or hand).

There are 12 seats on the Secretariat of Meath PPN, made up of 1 person from each of the 6 Municipal Districts of Meath, and 2 people from each of the pillars (community, environment & social inclusion).

Thanks to those who have submitted forms already. We have acknowledged those by email. They are still valid and have been verified by our independent monitor.

In the event of more people being nominated than the number of seats available, an election process will be held. If required, this will now begin on Wednesday 21st September via a secure online voting system which has been used by other PPN’s around the country.

Thanks
