‘Hear Me, See Me, Keep Me Safe’ webinar: 10th December 2021 11-12.30pm
The ‘Hear Me, See Me, Keep Me Safe’ webinar is taking place in association with ‘16 days of Action’ against gender-based violence on December 10th from 11-12.30pm.
Hear Me, See Me, Keep Me Safe’, is a short animation created as part of the ‘Empower kids – Children’s participation project 2021’. This year’s theme is “What matters for children and young people living with domestic violence and abuse”
This multi-agency project facilitated by Barnardos and together with: Cope Domestic Violence Service Galway, Mayo Women’s Support services, Longford Women’s Link, Meath Women’s Refuge and Support Services, Dundalk Women’s Aid, EPIC, Cuan Saor Domestic Violence Service, Dublin Safer Families, Saoirse Womens Refuge and Barnardos TLC KIDZ projects across North Tipp, Limerick/Clare, Cavan/Monaghan engaged with 28 children and young people living with domestic violence and abuse, from around the country.
Key note speaker:
- Dr. Deirdre Horgan, Senior lecturer in Social Policy in the School of Applied Social Studies and whose area of expertise is children’s rights and citizenship, child and youth participation and child welfare and protection

- A child & YP’s support worker from one the partner services.
