The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) is developing Draft National Standards for Home support Services in Ireland.

These standards will aim to promote progressive quality improvements in home support services and will give a shared voice to the expectations of the public, people using services, service providers and staff.

HIQA  has launched a public scoping consultation to give people an opportunity to identify the key areas that these draft national standards should address, to describe how these new standards can be put into practice and to provide examples of what good practice looks like in these services.

We are seeking the views of stakeholders in the area of Home support services in this consultation and would value your contribution. We are also requesting that people who use, or have experience of, home support services, participate in it.

Feedback on the development of the draft standards can be given by:

We will carefully assess all information received and use it, along with other evidence, to develop the Draft National Standards.

The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday, 1 October 2021.

We look forward to hearing from you.
