Meath Macra Live Crib in Enfield
The Meath Macra Live Crib will return to Enfield on 24th December for it’s fifth year to raise money and awareness for Meath Hospice Homecare Movement.
The Live Crib will run from 11am to 5pm on Christmas Eve outside Enfield’s Community Hall.
Throughout the day, there will be refreshments, face-painting, Christmas carol singing, and music from Enfield Comhaltas and Hotwell Choir, as well as the main attraction, the live animals. On top of that, there will be nativity characters to complete the live crib. Macra members will be out on the streets of Enfield all day collecting donations.
The live crib was a massive success last year with €4755 being raised for The Irish Cancer Society, thanks to the hard work and dedication of Meath Macra members, community groups and parishioners. To date, almost €15,000 has been raised by the event for various charities.
This Christmas Eve, Meath Macra are hoping to exceed last years grand total and invite all to come along to support Meath Macra na Feirme and Meath Hospice Homecare Movement. If you are unable to make it to the Live Crib on the day and would still like to donate, it is possible to do so by visiting the Meath Macra Live Crib GoFundMe Page.
Meath Macra are currently running a competition for one lucky person to win a one night stay for two people at The Johnstown Estate. For every €10 donated on the Meath Macra Live Crib GoFundMe page, one entry to the raffle will be received. Competition ends on 22nd December.
