Integration & Wellbeing Meath are pleased to confirm our upcoming community event “Ireland Remembers: Stories of Home, Hardship and Solidarity”, taking place on Friday, 16 October 2026 2:00–5:00 p.m. in Navan Library, Railway Street, Navan, Co. Meath, C15 RW31

The event is being delivered as part of the United Nations International Day for the Eradication of Poverty 2026 initiative, supported by the Department of Social Protection.

The programme will bring together local residents and people from migrant and refugee backgrounds to reflect on Ireland’s experience of the Great Famine and to connect it with contemporary stories of migration, housing insecurity, resilience and hope.
