Declared by the United Nations, the day highlights the importance of ensuring young people have opportunities to develop the skills they need for learning, work and life. Find out more >> Call for two Irish Volunteer Youth Journalists – European Union Youth Conference Dublin 2026 NYCI and the Department of Education and Youth is seeking Youth Journalists to cover the European Union Youth Conference (EUYC), taking place in Dublin from 27–30 September 2026 as part of Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This is a unique opportunity to report from one of Europe’s leading youth policy events, where almost 200 youth delegates and policymakers from across Europe and beyond will come together to engage in decision making processes. The European Youth Forum is the biggest platform of youth organisations in Europe, representing over 100 youth organisations, which bring together tens of millions of young people from all over Europe. There are numerous events taking place around the country, and the European Space Agency (ESA) Education programme with Research Ireland are encouraging organisations and community groups to run events in their area. ESERO Ireland can offer to support events through promotion, links with subject matter experts, and providing solar eclipse viewing glasses for attendees.
