Location: North East Region

Contract: Full‑time (subject to continued funding)

Salary: HSE Grade VI (€44,849–€55,032)

About FASN

Family Addiction Support Network (FASN) provides dedicated support to family members across the North East Region who are impacted by substance misuse. We work collaboratively with families, communities, statutory agencies and voluntary organisations to deliver evidence‑based, compassionate and effective family support.

Role Overview

FASN is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Project Coordinator to lead, develop and oversee all aspects of our family support services. The Coordinator will provide strategic leadership, ensure governance and compliance, strengthen multi‑agency collaboration, and support the delivery of high‑quality, non‑judgmental services for families affected by substance misuse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership of regional family support services.
  • Multi‑agency coordination with statutory, voluntary and community partners.
  • Funding development including preparation of funding applications.
  • Governance and compliance aligned to charity‑sector standards.
  • Financial accountability and support for annual accounts.
  • Team leadership, supervision and staff development.
  • Service development including implementation of FASN Research Project recommendations.

Essential Requirements

  • Third‑level qualification in Community Development, Facilitation, Management, Addiction Studies, Five Step Method OR minimum three years’ experience coordinating/managing a community‑based project.
  • Strong understanding of issues facing families affected by substance misuse.
  • Experience in inter‑agency working.
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to a client‑centred, non‑judgmental ethos.
  • Knowledge of evidence‑based family support interventions.
  • Proven ability to use IT systems for accurate information recording.
  • Flexibility to work unsocial hours.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.

Desirable Requirements

  • Lived experience of the impact of substance misuse.
  • Experience working directly with families affected by a relative’s substance use.
  • Knowledge of addiction and the wider drug issue.
