Cycle Against Suicide are delighted to announce that we will be continuing to deliver our Mental Health Peer-support training programme this Autumn free of charge

The Cycle Against Suicide Peer-Support Programme sets out to educate senior personnel and team leads on how stress and mental health problems can affect their employees. It is designed for companies to not only prevent mental ill health but to integrate mental health and wellbeing into all parts of the workplace.

Participants are trained in the use of a structured interview schedule to ascertain whether individuals might be experiencing significant levels of distress and on how to practically managed distressed individuals. Furthermore, participants will be trained to mentor individuals to take positive resilience enhancing actions, such as positive coping. They will be trained on how to recognise more complex symptoms requiring professional interventions.  They will develop skills based on the principal of motivational interviewing to encourage individuals to speak with a health care professional where necessary.

This training is delivered over two full days 9.30am to 5pm and accredits 13.5 CPD points.

We currently have 2-full day, 9.30am-5pm, live online training taking place on the following dates:

  • Mon 21 & Tues 22 September
  • Wed 21 & Thurs 22 October
  • Wed 18 & Thurs 19 November
