Family Carers Ireland have launched the State of Caring 2026 Report. The report has now been launched and is available to read on our website.

A copy of the report as well as a separate page with just our Key Findings and Recommendations is included in the post above.

Thanks to the support of organisations and individuals across the country, almost 3,000 family carers took part in the survey. Their responses have provided valuable insights into the realities of caring in Ireland today and will help inform Family Carers Ireland’s advocacy, policy and development work over the coming years.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who completed the survey and everyone who helped raise awareness of it. Whether you shared the survey widely, circulated it within your organisation or simply engaged with the project, your support contributed to ensuring carers’ experiences were captured and heard.
