Safeguarding 1 Basic Awareness in Child Protection Workshop
3rd June | 6.30pm-9:30pm | Zoom
This workshop will highlight the measures that clubs can take to create and maintain the safest possible environment in sport for young people. This course is essential for anyone who is in contact with children in their club.

Sports Injuries First Aid Workshop
Wednesday 27th May | 6.30pm-10pm | MDL, Trim Road, Navan.
The course is aimed at coaches, mentors, teachers, supervisors, players, athletes and volunteers. Essentially, it is for anyone wishing to be able to deal with minor sports injuries. This course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare participants to administer First Aid care. Participants will learn practical skills so that they can deal competently with situations that may arise.

Beach Wheelchairs
Meath Local Sports Partnership in collaboration with Meath County Council are delighted to offer two Beach Wheelchairs or use at Bettystown Beach.
The Beach Wheelchairs aim to assist people with a physical disability and those with reduced mobility in accessing the Beach.
- The wheelchair is for use within the designated Lifeguard Area on Bettystown Beach Co. Meath.
- The wheelchair may be collected from the Meath County Council East Coast Meath Civic Centre once booked.
- Pre-booking of the chair is essential, chairs will not be available unless booked in advance.
- The wheelchair is available between 11am – 7pm Monday – Sunday in two hour timeslots free of charge.

Expression of Interest – Inspiring Girls
After a highly successful Inspiring Girls in 2025, Meath LSP are inviting expressions of interest for our 2026/2027 Inspiring Girls Programme. Inspiring Girls is a HER Moves programme following all the Her Moves ‘eight guiding principles’ for success. The programme is ideally suited for teenage girls in secondary schools but can be incorporate into clubs/youth groups etc.
Inspiring Girls is all about empowering teenage girls to become LEADERS and inspire younger girls to take part in more sport and physical activity. ‘By the Girls – For the Girls’
The programme consists of 4 Pillars: Leadership, Participation, Sustainability and Celebration.
This programme is ideal for sports girls and non-sports girls.
2026/2027 Inspiring Girls Programme

Leadership in Sport
Meath LSP has launched a new Leadership in Sport programme for young people aged 15+. This engaging 3-day programme gives participants the chance to build confidence, develop leadership skills and get involved in sport through fun, practical activities. Young people will learn how to plan and lead games, understand inclusion and disability in sport, and explore volunteering, coaching and career pathways in sports.
On completion, all participants receive aLeadership in Sport Certificate and sport- specific accreditation. Open to schools, Youth reach centres, youth clubs and sports clubs across Meath.

Swimmin Women
Swimmin Women is a 6-week swimming lesson programme for women 18+. Ideal for complete beginners and improvers. if you have ever wanted to learn to swim or want to improve your swimming technique, this is the programme for you! It is led by qualified swim coaches and costs €20 for 6 weeks. Limited spaces available.
