Shared Island Civic Society Fund 2026: open for applications

Are you working on projects that foster cooperation, connection, and mutual understanding across the island of Ireland? If so, the Shared Island Civic Society Fund may be of interest to you!
The Department of Foreign Affairs has opened the 6th round of applications for the Shared Island Civic Society Fund. The fund supports civil society organisations to deliver projects that build links and collaboration on a North-South and East-West basis across the island of Ireland.
The fund is open to a wide range of organisations, including community groups, NGOs, and other civic society actors. Projects should aim to strengthen relationships, address shared challenges, and promote constructive dialogue and engagement across communities.
A total of €2 million is available under this call. Grants of up to €50,000 can be awarded per project. In previous rounds, the average grant was just under €30,000, and applications for smaller-scale projects are also strongly encouraged.
The deadline for submission is 2 June 2026 (23:59).
All applications must be submitted via the online grant application portal.
