LAWPRO Catchment Support Fund 2026

The LAWPRO Catchment Support Fund aims to build the capacity of non-governmental organisations working in the area of water quality in Ireland by providing funding towards their core costs. This funding
provides support to:
- develop and strengthen the skills, processes, and resources that catchment
organisations need to survive, adapt, and thrive. - water quality focused organisations who play a key role in the protection and restoration
of water bodies and help in achieving the objectives of national policy and plans

The LAWPRO CSF is divided into two streams: Stream 1 and Stream 2.
Stream 1 funding
In 2025, the grant range offer under Stream 1 was €480 to €5,000 (higher funding amount
may be considered in exceptional circumstances)
The following costs are eligible under Stream 1:
- Statutory and/or legal responsibilities
- Training and other capacity building costs
- Auditing/accounting fees
- Insurance associated with catchment management
- Website annual support cost
- Organisation promotional materials
- Group development activities (e.g., Development of group plan/strategy; group
management; governance assistance). - Resources allocated to and associated with the fulfilling of roles within a Catchment
Community Fora e.g.: fulfilling the roles of Chairperson or Secretary
Stream 2 funding
Our fund allocation for 2026 is not yet confirmed. As a guide, in 2025, the range of grants offered
under Stream 2 ranged from €9,608 to €51,800 – (National projects on a national scale may be
considered for higher funding). Costs for CSF 2026 must be incurred during 2026
The following costs are eligible under Stream 2:
- Funding towards your organisation’s core costs.Core costs can include staff salaries,
rent, rates. - Costs to help your organisation be more resilient in the future, for example, visioning,
strategic plans, business plans, corporate governance improvements, risk
management reviews and piloting new ways of working. - Training and skills development costs which will help the group deliver more effective and
impactful projects & initiatives. - Costs associated with the hiring of new or contract staff to help deliver the
organisations Work Programme. Aclear job description for the post must be provided
