Invitation to the Smart and Sustainable Mobility Accelerator Training Programme

The Regional Assemblies, in association with the Department of Transport and BABLE GmbH, are delighted to invite the public to participate in the Smart and Sustainable Mobility Accelerator training programme.
This programme is a designated national Pathfinder Project under the National Sustainable Mobility Policy 2022-2025. The programme is designed to accelerate the implementation of sustainable mobility projects. Our collective goal is to empower participants with the necessary tools to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities within the Irish transportation sector, fostering more efficient, environmentally friendly, and user-centric mobility systems. These sessions also provide an opportunity for community groups to inform future sustainable mobility policy.
We invite each PPN to nominate a maximum of five members who have a high level of interest in local sustainable mobility plans and projects to attend one of the 90-minute sessions. There is no cost to attend. The aim of these sessions is to empower community groups with the knowledge and tools to advocate for sustainable mobility and drive active travel within their communities.
Participants should register for one of the sessions by 26 September 2025 to allow us to prepare training materials.
Sessions times and dates are:
- 6 October 17:00-18:30
- 7 October 10:00-11:30
- 7 October 12:00-13:30
Participants will gain access to a diverse array of learning materials, including video lectures, case studies, and interactive exercises. We encourage anyone with an interest in Sustainable Mobility to also sign up to the Sustainable Mobility Academy.
