Romanian Community of Ireland: survey on priorities, challenges & needs

Since its establishment in 1998, the Romanian Community of Ireland (RCI) has organised many events to promote Romanian culture, enhance integration initiatives for all ages, provide information and signpost the community towards helpful resources and opportunities to participate. In October 2023, in recognition of the organisation’s long standing achievements, RCI was awarded the Medal of Cultural Merit by the Romanian President at the time, Klaus Johannis.
However, we are acutely aware that the demographic profile and needs of the Romanian diaspora in Ireland are rapidly changing. According to the latest Census 2022 figures, there are more than 42,460 Romanians living in Ireland, which represents an increase of more than 67%% since the 2016 census.
The Romanian Community of Ireland wishes to explore and capture this change and would need your support to promote a survey for the Romanian speaking community in Ireland, which includes and is not limited to Romanian and Moldovan nationals, members of the Roma community and anyone living in Ireland who speaks Romanian.
This anonymous survey, which takes 7-10 minutes to complete, is in Romanian (a summary in English is included below).
