Safe Routes to School Programme in Kells and Navan: consultation on proposed works

There are two short public consultations opening today on proposed works under the Safe Routes to School Programme in Kells and Navan.

• Proposed works at and adjacent to Beaufort College, Navan. (Safe Routes to School programme)

• Proposed works at and adjacent to Our Lady of Mercy JNS and St. Colmcille’s SNS, Jim Brunnock Road, Kells, (Safe Routes to School programme)

This Schemes provide and include for:

  • Provision of new and improved pedestrian crossings.
  • Reduction of carriageway widths and increased widths footpaths with adjusted car parking
  • Creation of a traffic calmed ‘School Zone’ by provision of roadside school themed bollards, road colouring and banners
  • Provision of new and upgraded road markings, drainage, signage, public lighting and other ancillary works

 The plans and particulars of the proposed scheme will be available for inspection online as listed below:
