Draft County Meath Noise Action Plan 2024-2028: Public Consultation
Submissions are invited from the public on the draft County Meath Noise Action Plan 2024-2028, prepared under S.I. No. 549 of 2018 (as amended), to address environmental noise in County Meath prepared by Meath County Council.
This is a four-year strategic plan with the main purpose to inform and consult the public about the health effects of noise exposure from major roads (as defined in the above regulations) and the measures that may be considered to address this issue in County Meath. The plan excludes noise from domestic activities, noise created by neighbours, noise at workplaces or noise inside a means of transport or due to military activities in military areas.
The public consultation phase will be open from 9:00am Thursday, 8th August 2024 with the draft Noise Action plan, Draft Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Screening reports and associated Screening Determinations available for inspection online at https://consult.meath.ie/ and at the following locations.
