Louth County Council and Cork Smart Gateway we are organizing a virtual hackathon that belongs to the EU Sparks for Climate: Citizen Hackathon Championship programme, an initiative supported by the European Commission.

This is a fully online event taking place between the 5th – 8th June and is open to teams, community groups, researchers, research groups, students and individuals from across Ireland.

Two teams from Ireland will go forward to the EU Finals and will receive mentorship ahead of this to develop their ideas.

There is a €5,000 prize for the top team in the EU finals. A team is 4 to 6 people, and will be paired with researchers if they don’t have their own.
