Dunboyne and Clonee Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme: consultation
The Dunboyne and Clonee Pedestrian and Cycle Network is envisaged to be a flagship scheme for connectivity of the towns of Dunboyne and Clonee to both public transport hubs and the Greater Dublin Area Cycle Network.
This scheme has the potential to promote and enhance walking, cycling and the use of public transport by providing a superior network of footpath and cycleway connections for both towns’ residents.
The deadline for submissions on the Dunboyne and Clonee Pedestrian and cycle scheme has been extended until 7th June 2024 at 12:00 noon.
Public Consultation
Meath County Council with their appointed consultant Atkins Realis have identified an Emerging Preferred Option.
A consultation on the emerging preferred option is now taking place and as wide a range of views and opinions is sought
This public consultation is a non-statutory consultation taking place on the Emerging Preferred Option for the Dunboyne and Clonee Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme from 29th of April to 24th of May.
An information evening will take place in the Dunboyne Castle Hotel, Castlefarm, Dunboyne, Co. Meath, A86 PW63 on Wednesday 15th of May 2024 from 14:00 to 20:00
Please visit https://consult.meath.ie/en/browse to make a submission. Consultation with other key stakeholders such as landowners will also progress simultaneously.
After the consultation and submission period closes, the project team will duly consider all the submissions made and decision will be made on whether to proceed with the Emerging Preferred Route.
If approved to proceed, it is anticipated the project will then move to the Preliminary Design stage with further consultations , then followed preparation for the Statutory Process.
