National Broadband Ireland are scheduling to begin prebuild survey works in the Dunshauglin Deployment Area W/B 28^th December 2023.

The work will involve surveying of existing EIR, overhead and underground, infrastructure as follows;           

1. Test of all EIR poles required for the rollout i.e. visual and hammer test 
2. Visual check of transitions from overhead to underground and vice versa 
3. For underground routes cordon off chambers, located in the footpath or verge, for up to 10 minutes maximum to open and examine chambers at both ends of the route and any other chambers in between. 

The vans will be branded and the surveyors will have branded Visi vests, hi-vis jackets, hard hats and carry information leaflets if requested by a member of the public.  

Please Note – there will be no excavation/build works being completed at survey stage.
