“Cracking the Case”: Chief Superintendent Christy Mangan Talk in Dunshaughlin Library – 16th November 2023
Join Dunshaughlin native, Christy Mangan, as he shares his experiences as a Chief Superintendent involved in some of the major Irish crimes in recent times.
Christy Mangan, a son of Clare and the late Oliver Mangan, entered the gates of the Garda Training College in Templemore as a 20-year-old in 1982, beginning a career that would last for 40 years and would see him involved in some of the most high profile cases of that period. In his career, Mangan participated in or led over 100 murder investigations. And he set up the Garda cold case unit to examine some of the state’s most troubling unsolved killings.
He recently published a book Cracking the Case, which takes a deep dive into how investigations are run.
