Of particular interest to Clean Up Groups might be government consultation on disposable vapes. As the background to the consultation points out, these are littered everywhere at the moment, and pose a risk to litter pickers and the environment as their batteries leak, as well as being a waste of plastic and lithium, a non-renewable resource. Have your say by July 27th.

 For those looking to plant or maintain hedgerows, there’s a webinar coming up next Monday outlining the new Hedge Code from Hedgerows Ireland.

 There’s also upcoming online training from Bat Conservation Ireland to teach people how to identify bats and use bat detectors for an upcoming August survey.
