Connecting Cultures – Sustaining Our World: Meath Partnership & Irish Aid Project

Meath Partnership are delighted to announce that we have received funding from Irish Aid for a new project, Connecting Cultures – Sustaining our world: a GCE approach to sustainability and integration.


The starting point for this project is conduct research on Global Citizenship Education and the impact on integration in Ireland, with a focus on Co Meath.


Once the study is completed, it will be used as a basis for the following activities:

  1. training workshops and mentoring sessions
  2. educational activities bringing together educators and people living in Direct Provision in Meath
  3. the creation of a toolkit, to be broadly disseminated, that will serve to improve GCE in Irish educational and non-profit institutions
  4. securing placements on our Tús programme for 45 volunteers

We are also seeking participation from people in direct provision and from volunteer centres, to give us the full picture ie recipients of training, the trainers and volunteer managers who will be responsible for securing placements in environmental organisations.
