The European Spatial Planning Observation Network (ESPON) has commissioned an interim review of decarbonising zones (DZs). 

DZs are meant to involve a degree of innovation and engagement with other stakeholders.  Therefore, we also have specific questionnaires for civil society (community and voluntary) organisations and businesses in DZs.

The closing date for receipt of responses is Friday, 24th April, 2026

We will also be undertaking nine case studies over the coming months, and the review will be completed by November 2026.
