Safeguarding 1 Basic Awareness in Child Protection Workshop

3rd June | 6.30pm-9.30pm | Zoom 

This workshop will highlight the measures that clubs can take to create and maintain the safest possible environment for sport for young people. This course is essential for anyone who is in contact with children in their club.

Cost: €25 per person for clubs in Meath, €40 per person for clubs outside Meath. Places are limited. To book a place, please call Aoife on 0873306715 or email aheffernan@meathcoco.ie 

Safeguarding 3 Designated Liaison Person (DLP) Workshop

28th May | 6.30pm-9.30pm | Zoom 

Every club/organisation should designate a person to be responsible for dealing with any concerns about the protection of children. The Designated Liaison Person is responsible for reporting allegations or suspicions of child abuse to TUSLA Child and Family Agency and/or An Garda Siochána. It is recommended that this person is a senior club person. 

It is essential that those who wish to attend the Safeguarding 3 Designated Liaison Person (DLP) Training have attended the Safeguarding 1 Child Welfare & Protection Workshop.

Run Jump Throw

The Run Jump Throw programme ran over 6 weeks is aimed at children with additional needs aged 5-12 years. The sessions will include a variety of Sports, Fun Games and Obstacle Challenges all adapted to the participants needs. 

The programme aims to improve the participant’s fundamental movement skills and increase their confidence in participating in regular physical activity. The involvement of siblings is encouraged during the programme.

Date: Mondays May 11th – June 15th

Run Jump Throw Bettystown

Date: Wednesdays May 6th – June 10th 

Time: 5pm-6pm

Venue: Colaiste Na Hlnse Bettysown

Cost: €10 – per family 

Run Jump Throw Ashbourne

Date: Thursdays April 16th – May 21st 

Time: 5pm-6pm

Venue: Ashbourne Community school

6-Week Stretch & Flex (Laytown)

This six-week course is designed for Adults 50+ who are aiming to improve their flexibility, mobility and overall wellbeing in a relaxed and supportive environment. The class environment will also have chairs to assist anyone with mobility issues. All welcome!

Please bring water and wear comfortable clothing.

Date: Monday 13th April – Monday 18th May 2026

Social Running (0-3k & 3-5k)

Have you always wanted to run but didn’t know where to start? Social Running is an ideal way to ease yourself into running and build your fitness gradually as part of a group. Led by experienced club coaches, Social Running is suitable for complete beginners and also those with some running experience. The programme will provide regular training sessions that will help you achieve your goal to jog/run a 3k or 5k and will finish with a social running event in Claremont Stadium on Monday 5th May at 7pm.

Bike Week
