Navan Midsummer Festival 2026: Expressions of Interest

Meath County Council and Boyne Valley Tourism are developing a new Navan Midsummer Festival, taking place from 19th–21st June. The festival will celebrate midsummer and the solstice, Navan as our county town, and the heritage of the wider Boyne Valley, including the traditions linked to the Hill of Tara.

We are creating an inclusive three‑day programme featuring music, food, arts, storytelling, heritage experiences, family activities, talks, workshops and more. As part of this, we are inviting local sports clubs, voluntary organisations, and community groups in Navan and its surrounds to propose events that reflect the area’s culture, creativity, and strong sense of community.

If your group would like to be considered, please complete our short Expression of Interest form here: https://www.discoverboynevalley.ie/expressions-interest-navan-midsummer-festival-2026.

The closing date for submissions is Friday, 13th March.

Grant funding of up to €600 is available for participating groups. Please note that all applications will be evaluated, and while we hope to support as many groups as possible within the available budget, funding cannot be guaranteed. We would love to see a wide range of community participation as we work to establish this new celebration for Navan.
