Local Champions 2025 summer update
This year, NYCI’s ‘Local Champions’ project is bigger and better than ever before, with 48 enthusiastic and capable young people engaging. Put through their paces at in-person and online trainings on everything from storytelling to media training, the Local Champions have taken their own story of youth work and become invaluable contributors to the pre-budget campaign.

Youth Work Ireland Midlands was awarded a Gold Standard Health Quality Mark (HQM) by the NYCI National Youth Health Programme in recognition of their work on health promotion for young people.

Climate Justice Charter
Existing social justice issues make transitioning to a greener, more sustainable society difficult. Upholding climate justice principles in our response to climate change is the only way to make sure this transition will leave no one behind. The Climate Justice Charter (English/Irish) is a tool that supports organisations that work with young people to contribute to the systemic change needed.

GFS Worldwide: 150 Year Celebration
The Girls Friendly Society Worldwide is celebrating 150 years since its foundation in the UK in 1875.
To this end GFS Ireland are celebrating by holding a special Celebration service to be broadcast on RTE TV on Sunday 10th August 2025 at 11am. There will also be a 150th Celebration Walk held all over Ireland starting at 2.00 p.m. on Saturday the 27th of September.
