Meath Local Sports Partnership in collaboration with Meath County council are delighted to offer two Beach Wheelchairs for use at Bettystown Beach.  The Beach Wheelchairs aim to assist people with a physical disability and does with reduced mobility in accessing the Beach.

Hippocampe Beach Wheelchair

Hippocampe is a beach friendly wheelchair with a low centre of gravity. It is propelled by attendant using push Handle. The Hippocampe is suitable for children & adults with a disability.

• The wheelchair is for use within the designated Lifeguard Area on Bettystown Beach Co. Meath
• The wheelchair may be collected from the Meath County Council East Meath Civic Centre once booked
• Pre-booking of the chair is essential, chairs will not be available unless booked in advance
• The wheelchair is available between 11am – 7pm Monday – Sunday

Terra Wheels Beach Wheelchair

Terra Wheels Beach Wheelchair is a durable wheelchair featuring 2 XL inflatable front wheels and 2 large rear castor wheels, it is propelled by an attendant using the push handle. Terra Wheels is suitable for Adults with a disability and those with reduced mobility.

• The wheelchair is for use within the designated Lifeguard Area on Bettystown Beach Co. Meath
• The wheelchair may be collected from the Meath County Council East Meath Civic Centre once booked
