The Small Town, Big Difference campaign aims to highlight the stories of community groups, organisations, clubs, schools, and societies across Ireland that are raising funds and creating meaningful impact for their local area through the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS).

The competition is open to all local community groups, schools, clubs and initiatives across the country who are using the Deposit Return Scheme to make a difference in their area.

To enter, groups must be official registered or have a pending registration with Re-turn. If you have not already registered, simply email communities@re-turn.ie to register your group.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on 6 June 2025

What do we want to know?

Whether you’re a knitting circle, a ballet troupe, a tidy towns team, or anything in between, we want to celebrate the inspiring ways you’re using the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) to make a big difference.

Simply tell us how your group has been making a big difference in your local community to be in with a chance to win €2,000 for your local initiative.

Five lucky winners will also win the chance to take part in our communities advertising campaign later in the summer!

So, whether you’re a community champion, a club campaigner or a hometown hero, Re-turn wants to hear from you!
