Meath County Council wishes to advise that due to the hurricane Ophelia status red warning, its public offices will close from 11.00am this morning. This includes the Motor Tax Office, Libraries, and all Council run services. People are advised to heed the weather warnings in place and avoid any unnecessary travel. On 20 September 2017, the Minister for Justice and Equality, Charlie Flanagan, renewed the Text Alert Rebate Scheme for a further year. Muintir na Tíre will administer this scheme on behalf of all eligible Text Alert Groups. The scheme will see groups receive a rebate on their eligible operating costs.
