Volunteers Needed for Meath Heritage Cycle in Support of Enable Ireland

The Meath Sports partnership have chosen to support Enable Ireland this year through the Meath Heritage Cycle. We are very much looking forward to the event on the 28th and 29th of July.We are hoping to recruit volunteers for the 2 day event, to help with everything from registration to helping in the food tents.  Included below are some of the volunteering duties:  Saturday 29th – 6 volunteers needed (1 – 8pm) for registration  Sunday 30th July – 20 – 30 volunteers needed on a rolling basis (6.15am – 4pm) / possibly split into 2 shifts  Sunday morning (6am – 11am):...

Community Based CCTV Systems Grant Scheme

Tánaiste announces new grant aid scheme for community-based CCTV systems The Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality, Frances Fitzgerald T.D.,  announced in April a new grant-aid scheme to assist community groups to assist the establishment of community-based CCTV systems. Under the scheme, eligible community groups can apply for grant-aid of up to 60% of the total capital cost of a proposed CCTV system, up to a maximum grant of €40,000.
