On 20 September 2017, the Minister for Justice and Equality, Charlie Flanagan, renewed the Text Alert Rebate Scheme for a further year. Tánaiste announces new grant aid scheme for community-based CCTV systems The Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality, Frances Fitzgerald T.D.,  announced in April a new grant-aid scheme to assist community groups to assist the establishment of community-based CCTV systems. This March the RSA’s Check it Fits service will be visiting County Meath. Did you know it’s the law that all children under 150cms or 36kgs must use a child car seat appropriate to their weight and height. In Ireland as many as 4 out of 5 child car seats are incorrectly fitted which can lead to serious injury or even death in a collision. As part of the Kells Community Biodiversity Action Plan Kells local Heroes is planning a Hay Making Day. On Saturday 13th August 2016 we will be cutting an area of land on Maudlin Road, Kells. Using traditional hay making methods the area will be cut by hand and the site then managed for wildflowers mimicking traditional hay meadow management.
